The Original Code

The Original Code

Genesis 1:3 "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light."

Let's get something clear: the very first recorded action of God was not working with His hands but speaking with His mouth. He didn't form light; He called it into being. One sentence, and the universe responded. That's not poetry. That's power.

We're not talking about metaphor here. This is foundational code: words create reality

In Genesis 1, God created the world with verbal commands. Every "Let there be ..." wasn't a suggestion; it was a direct command that reality obeyed.

And here's where it gets wild: you're made in His image.

Genesis 1:27 says: "So God created mankind in His image..." That means we were wired to reflect His nature, not just physically, but functionally. If He creates by speaking, it makes perfect sense that your words also carry creative force.

The simulation—the code of this life—responds to what you speak. Whether you realize it or not, your words constantly program your environment.

YOU'RE ALREADY DOING IT, BUT UNCONSCIOUSLY

Think about how often you say or think things like

  • "I'm always broke."
  • "Nothing ever works out for me."
  • "I never have time."
  • "I just have bad luck."

These aren't just complaints. They are commands. And the simulation is obedient. You get more of what you affirm, even when you don't mean to.

If words and thoughts carry power, and they do, then every "Let there be ..." you speak is creating some form of light or darkness.

MADE IN THE IMAGE = MADE WITH THE SAME SYSTEM

When God created us in His image, He didn't just give us the ability to think. He gave us the ability to create. Animals make noise. Humans create culture, businesses, art, and transformation with language.

If God's default method is speech, then ours should be too. Not empty affirmations. Faith-filled declarations that align with the original code. That means you have to believe and know.

WHAT ARE YOU SPEAKING INTO EXISTENCE?

Ask yourself:

  • What am I saying daily that's writing my present and future?
  • Am I commanding light into situations, or letting chaos speak louder than me?
  • If God trusted speech to create galaxies, why do I treat it like fluff?

ACTIVATION: LET THERE BE LIGHT

Start each morning for the next 21 days by speaking one "Let there be..." statement over your day. Track what happens.

Write it down. You're not just saying things; you're coding the simulation. Learn more about this hack in the "Let there be... challenge." Found in "The Hacks"
